Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using advanced techniques
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient education during blood draw procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient flow
- Conduct quality control measures for equipment and supplies
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Certification in CPR/BLS from recognized provider
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
