Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Perform accurate venipunctures and capillary blood draws using aseptic techniques.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and alleviate anxiety to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Properly label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
- Update patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation.
- Assist in the daily operations of the phlebotomy department and inventory management.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure timely specimen collection.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
- Current state licensure or certification (ASCP, NCPT, NHA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
