Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Perform accurate venipunctures and capillary blood draws using aseptic techniques.
  • Greet patients, explain procedures, and alleviate anxiety to ensure a comfortable experience.
  • Properly label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
  • Update patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the phlebotomy department and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure timely specimen collection.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
  • Current state licensure or certification (ASCP, NCPT, NHA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
