Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA protocols
- Operate provided centrifuges, analyzers, and processing systems
- Document patient data accurately in our electronic health record system
- Train on new equipment technologies as implemented
- Collaborate with lab team for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency with provided collection devices and processing equipment
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods with provided support equipment
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
