Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and HIPAA protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and specimen logs.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely specimen processing.
- Manage inventory and ensure phlebotomy supplies are well-stocked.
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCPT/CPT) required.
- Valid DC or state-specific license.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
