Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a positive, welcoming clinical experience.
- Label, process, and transport blood samples and other specimens to the laboratory according to strict protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and CLIA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management of supplies, including test tubes, needles, and bandages.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate efficient patient flow in the clinic.
Qualifications
- Current, active Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or equivalent).
- Valid Hawaii State Phlebotomy License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients.
