Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and equipment calibration
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient experience
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current ASCP or NHA Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
