Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Administer medication reminders and document client intake accurately; report any changes in health or behavior to the Case Manager immediately.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or community outings as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and progress notes regarding client care and status.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care, geriatric care, or nursing assistance preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
