Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients including post-op recovery, telemetry monitoring, and acute intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Utilize Epic EHR systems for accurate clinical documentation and care coordination
- Maintain strict adherence to Joint Commission standards and safety protocols
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; ACLS instructor certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with cardiology focus
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking skills during emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Experience with electronic health records and telehealth systems
