Your Role
As a Registered Nurse at MedCore, you will be the cornerstone of patient care. You will work alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence. Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe and healing environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient progress, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
