Job Summary
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, administers medications, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, documenting care accurately, and advocating for the needs of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting patients.
- Night shift availability is mandatory for this position.
