Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes and verify demographic and insurance information accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with gowns, drapes, and positioning.
- Assist physicians during medical procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Communicate effectively with patients via secure video platforms.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or telehealth setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Valid California driver’s license (for occasional on-site duties, if applicable).
