Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients across diverse medical units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to therapies using advanced monitoring systems
- Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient outcomes in EHR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Mentor new staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state with quick endorsement)
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered
- Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy and family-centered care
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
