Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status and administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform physical exams and detailed health histories to identify patient needs.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness, and home care instructions.
- Document patient care services in medical records and clinical information systems.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred for high-acuity units).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to patient safety.
