Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, adhering to safety and code blue protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred).
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for certain units.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
