Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.</li><li>Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Respond effectively to emergent situations, utilizing critical thinking and rapid assessment skills to ensure patient safety.</li><li>Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease processes, and discharge instructions to promote recovery.</li><li>Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all hospital protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees to enhance patient outcomes.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon required.</li><li>Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; new graduates may be considered for certain units.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; other specialty certifications may be required based on unit.</li><li>Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure while providing empathetic patient care.</li></ul>
