Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and triage software to determine urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Provide accurate medical advice and instructions for self-care.
- Coordinate patient referrals to physicians, specialists, or emergency services as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound clinical decisions.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems.
