Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Count surgical sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Transport patients and specimens safely within the surgical department
- Manage inventory and restock operating rooms efficiently
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program OR willingness to complete our 12-week paid training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (will be provided if not already certified)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to sterile technique
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
