Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, lab results, and treatment notes.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients in critical situations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Diploma acceptable for entry-level positions.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Colorado.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed; ability to work varying shifts including nights and weekends.
