Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient health status to identify changes or deteriorations in condition.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict protocols and safety standards.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, medications, and responses to treatment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease processes, and post-care instructions to ensure continuity of care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients in critical situations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Interpersonal: Ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds and work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
