Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient progress throughout their stay to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Crisis Management: Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and advanced life support skills.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventative health strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
