Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status throughout the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and responses to interventions accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to strict infection control and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining professional standards.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday).
