Responsibilities
- Verify and process patient prescriptions accurately and efficiently in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Prepare and package medications, including compounding and labeling, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, track product expiration dates, and process orders for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist with clinical tasks, medication therapy management, and refill authorizations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering inquiries regarding insurance and medication details.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Nevada Pharmacy Technician License.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
