Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain a sterile field and strictly adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and promptly report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure no items are left in the surgical field.
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Registered Surgical Technician (RST) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Excellent physical stamina, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
