Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone or secure video to evaluate symptoms and determine appropriate level of care.
- Provide expert medical advice and triage instructions within the scope of your nursing license and organizational protocols.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient management.
- Handle high-volume calls with empathy, patience, and a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
- Identify and escalate urgent or critical cases immediately to ensure timely intervention.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (or compact state).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, with specific experience in triage or telehealth preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a dedicated, private workspace and reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
