- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes with 95%+ success rate
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and pre-authorizations
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Train junior billers on best practices and documentation standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician or hospital settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Proficient in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or NextGen EMR systems
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
- Experience with RCM analytics and denial trending
