Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and IV compounding equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screen required
