Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of physician orders and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist review.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with OSHA and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
- Perform compounding tasks when required.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (may be required for delivery duties).
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
