Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy verification
- Manage automated dispensing systems and compound specialized formulations
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain strict inventory controls and automated ordering protocols
- Ensure complete HIPAA compliance and DEA regulatory adherence
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy software and safety protocols
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prior authorizations
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (QS1, Omnicell, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding and USP 797 standards
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
- CPR certification and immunization training preferred
