Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and analyze specimens using advanced laboratory equipment
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Train junior phlebotomists on best practices and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and lab scientists for specialized testing
- Implement quality control measures for sample integrity
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-access collections
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
