Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via telehealth, phone, and in-person triage to determine medical urgency and care pathways
- Develop and implement evidence-based triage protocols aligned with national emergency standards
- Lead multidisciplinary response teams during critical patient incidents and mass casualty scenarios
- Maintain precise documentation in Epic EHR systems with 99.8% accuracy for compliance and continuity
- Mentor junior triage staff through competency-based training programs and shadowing initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary teams to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance triage accuracy and patient satisfaction metrics
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with unrestricted active status
- Minimum 5 years of emergency/urgent care nursing experience with 2+ years in triage leadership
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required (ENPC preferred)
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (BSN with exceptional experience considered)
- Advanced certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Triage (CATN)
- Expertise in Epic EHR systems and telehealth platforms
