Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, drapes, and sterile solutions.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sponges.
- Monitor and maintain sterile field, strictly adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient workflow in the OR.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition immediately.
- Assist in the sterilization and maintenance of surgical equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or surgical center.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients when necessary.
