Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including arranging medical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and materials.
- Monitor and maintain strict sterile field and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Handle specimens for lab analysis accurately.
- Ensure the operating room is clean, organized, and stocked.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands.
