Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passing
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and equipment pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and equipment efficiently between departments
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR/surgical experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
