Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following strict aseptic protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and equipment functionality checks
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience in acute care setting
- BLS certification with current CPR training
- Proficiency in endoscopic and robotic instrumentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and crisis management skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
