Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure optimal operating room efficiency
- Perform sterile processing and inventory management of surgical supplies
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate (CST preferred)
- BLS certification required (CPR for Healthcare Providers)
- Minimum 1 year OR experience in acute care setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Nebraska Surgical Technologist license (or ability to obtain immediately)
