Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical, ICU, or emergency department settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections per facility protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Assess patient conditions and respond to emergent situations with critical thinking
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and OSHA standards
- Precept and mentor new staff as assigned
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and weekends
- NYS DMV clean driving record (for facility transportation)
