Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assess patient health status, administer medications, and provide treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to critical situations and provide immediate care in emergency or acute care settings.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-care instructions.
- Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards including OSHA and HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Specialty: Prior experience in Medical-Surgical, ICU, or Telemetry preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, travel nursing environment.
