Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers via phone and digital platforms
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide education to patients regarding home care instructions and next steps
- Manage high call volumes during peak times while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS certification and ACLS preferred
- Proven experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or telehealth triage
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate situations
