Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Provide accurate triage using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for seamless patient flow
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resources
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
