Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and determine appropriate level of care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient admissions and transfers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation for all triage encounters
- Provide education to patients regarding home care instructions and when to seek emergency care
- Monitor patient wait times and optimize department workflow efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Nevada (NV RN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
