Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for rapid intervention
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy
- Oversee patient flow during high-volume periods
- Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and JCAHO standards
- Mentor new triage staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 3 years ED or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of emergency triage protocols
- Exceptional prioritization and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- BSN degree preferred
