Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using standardized triage protocols and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare providers
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide emergency medical interventions including IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
- Maintain inventory of triage supplies and equipment for optimal department readiness
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems and electronic documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
