Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity via telephone triage protocols and in-person evaluations
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize emergency cases and allocate resources efficiently
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed patient assessments
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care coordination
- Implement infection control measures and emergency response protocols
- Train staff on triage procedures and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient flow optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with 3+ years emergency/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Expertise in ESI triage scale and emergency protocols
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Spanish fluency a significant plus for our diverse patient population
