Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and determine medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and emergency department staff for patient prioritization
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide telehealth consultations and after-hours care coordination
- Train triage protocols to new nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient flow
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
