Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and virtual triage assessments to accurately determine patient acuity levels.
- Make critical clinical decisions regarding patient disposition, referrals, and home care instructions.
- Document all interactions in the EMR system with precision and strict adherence to compliance standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, care coordinators, and field nurses to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Provide expert guidance to patients and families regarding symptoms, medications, and next steps.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance triage protocols and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (or compact state).
- Certification in Telehealth or Triage Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of acute care, emergency room, or critical care nursing experience.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) and telehealth platforms.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
