Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and care plans accurately in EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to facilitate timely treatment.
- Provide health education and medication instructions to patients and families.
- Escalate critical cases to emergency services or on-call providers immediately.
- Manage high-volume call queues with a focus on patient satisfaction and safety.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in triage or telehealth.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
