Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person consultations to determine the acuity of care needed.
- Evaluate medical history and current complaints to make accurate triage decisions.
- Communicate treatment plans and referrals to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all triage interactions in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure patient safety by identifying red flags and escalating critical cases immediately.
- Provide guidance on self-care and medication management for non-emergency conditions.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and clinical decision support systems.
- Ability to work independently and make quick, high-stakes decisions under pressure.
