Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Perform patient education on oral hygiene and aftercare procedures
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
- Utilize Eaglesoft practice management software for patient records and scheduling
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced multi-provider environment
- Valid Texas state dental assistant permit
