Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Provide accurate medical information to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Document patient encounters meticulously in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Monitor vital signs and recognize subtle changes in patient condition
- Oversee patient flow in the emergency department to optimize resource utilization
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
