Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition clearly to supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
